A Schengen Visa is required by non-EEA nationals wishing to enter the EU for short-term stays not involving employment or self employed activity.
The Schengen Visa has made travelling between its 24 European member countries much easier. Travelling on a Schengen visa means that the visa holder can travel to any (or all) member countries using one single visa. This is very beneficial for all individuals/groups wishing to visit several European countries on the same trip. The Schengen visa is regarded as a visitor visa/tourist visa.
